Hmmmm. Not sure on this one. Looks like overkill. Digg is more attractive.

But I'll always be a Slashdot fan. Too much going on at Digg to keep track of - I always feel like I'm missing things.

I swear you were saying you didn't like RSS a while ago, sounds like it's exactly what you need

Get yourself a good feed reader (probably software, not online) and give it a shot

I was feeding Digg. And I even forced myself to check my feeds every day or even twice a day. Then I realized every time I checked Digg there were 40 new entries. Sigh.

I don't really use RSS because I end up just updating my feeds and never reading them.

Diggs a good site - you don't have to read every new entry on there, its just good to pop in sometimes a follow a few links.
