Yahoo preview
http://www.yahoo.com/preview initial thoughts - they've gone portal again? - search bar is a bit lost - nice javascript on the 'mail' / 'messenger' / 'radio' tabs - left nav is a bit shite |

That's what I confidently announced in a meeting a month or two back. Then I went and tested it and found that there are some Javascript differences between the two - and of course they were differences that would affect the application that the meeting was about. |

more impressed with this each time i look at it - just tried the little 'tour' thing that pops down from the top of the screen (you might have to clear your cookies to get it back). it actually generates it on the fly using the DOM - the section of the screen it highlights is the live HTML rendered, not an image (to test this, resize your text and *then* take the tour). great stuff |

Not a preview anymore it seems. The interactivity of it is nice, but I haven't yet gotten over the old design. I loved that one. In its defense, it has seriously reduced scrolling (not that I care too much) and going totally tableless - markup looks nice, but the CSS and JS seems to all be embedded...oi. |

Not sure if it was there yesterday, but under page options, you can 'switch to narrow layout' |
