I don't have time for all this shit. RSS, blogs, social networking, del.icio.us, etc. on top of work, social LIFE, and freelance/personal work.

Don't people work? Or go to school?

That's exactly why it's such a great feature... quick. easy. access.
You make you're own little home page with google.com/ig, yahoo's version, or whatever... and suddenly you're plugged into a couple dozen of your favorite websites without needing to sift through each one...! :-)

Rubbish
Del.icio.us is a great idea, gets used every single day by me. Another good one is digg.

No, I'm not saying it's a bad idea - both those sites are great ideas - I just can't keep up with Digg. I had it in my feed reader for a while, but it seemed like every time I opened it, there were 40 new articles. I don't have time to read the article abstracts let alone the articles let alone comment/participate.

Del.icio.us is a great idea, but, again, I have trouble finding time to go through there.

I'm just wondering where these people have all this time to spend reading/browsing/feeding/networking/etc.

I think of it as part of my job - keeping upto date with the latest yadayada.

That and reading football news

The primary reason the Daily Slurp was developed was becuase link collection and thumbnail making for its parent site Design Melt Down was getting overwhelming. DS just automates all this. The public side of DS is to collect links and to just show what is popular. I don't know what my point is. I suppose I figure you might like to know the logic behind it. For me it has reduced hours of work to minutes.

Right...isn't there a way to e-mail new links to your del.icio.us account?
