Here's one for you - use http://www.basecamphq.com with google calendar by subscribing to the iCal feed. You can have "important" meetings side by side with pissups, away matches and eastenders' schedules

Best feature I found in google calendar was adding UK Holidays so I know exactly when all the bank holidays are.
