Stop Stealing Sheep

I got hold of a copy of Stop Stealing Sheep, but I just realised its the first edition. Is it worth me buying the 2nd edition or are they pretty much the same?

I think they're pretty much the same. Good book though.

I've heard the second edition is quite a bit better from the 1st, but I may just be remembering wrong. I got the 2nd edition kicking around here somewhere..... great read

Most graphic designers and typographers agree that only a handful of typefaces is needed for their daily work; fortunately (at least for the manufacturers and type designers), they could never agree on the same dozen or so typefaces. We need thousands. Then each of us can pick our favorites. Just like shoes: one doesn't need more than half a dozen pairs, but another person will make a different selection, and so on. For individual expression, as well as maximum legibility, we need to pull out all the stops.
I shall purchase my copy today. Although, I never thought I would read a book like this, it seems worth a read. New & used from $2.65, too.

I'll have to think about what half-dozen typefaces are my favorites.
