anyone?

-----

Just re-read the brief and it says to do a portrait or typographic representation so that changes it abit.

If anyone has any good typography galleries that would be nice

I found a site ages ago that looked at different kinds of typography in and around san fransisco - out in the street in signs and so on

don't know if it'll be of any use to you:

Do you mean like ascii portraits such as this or a portrait made of the letters of the persons name such as the quickly thrown together and somewhat shit example I have attached... or something completely different?

i've been sent a brief from uni and was wondering if anyone else knew any other representations of a typographic protrait, other's than those metioned. Maybe i'm thinking about it to complicated but it seems as if the only way to fufil the brief is to copy this style and apply to a person of my choice, therefore missing out any sort of originality. anyway any help would be well apreciated. thx..

also with this being my first thread thought i better say hi to every1

First year Salford.

Not liking the project as of yet everyone I initially choose couldnt be 'recognised at a glance' so I did the whole celebrity list thing, but like yourself wanted to do something little different not just the old (boring) lets mask some text using the image.

Went to Urbis tother day looking at that Graffiti exhibition which made me start thinking about graffiti and that whole style.

Dunno yet, think I might make some doodles and see where I go.

I can see that course communities are thriving these days... communing on a forum. You lot need to get out for more beer. I'll be having words with one of the tutors I know there, somethings obviously gone awry.

To be honest i don't mind that extra bit of work i just wish the brief we were given could of had a bit more scope to it, rather than just DO A TYPOGRAPHIC PORTRAIT, anyway i s'pose it'll do.

p.s small world init
