fonts?
Why do people buy fonts? When there are font sites with free fonts to download! Maybe its the quality of the style/design or maybe they have a big budget to play around with new and expensive fonts, don't really know! Could any of you enlighten me. Cheers |

You cant just download decent fonts, try to get something like Officina for free. The best you'll do is get it for around £15. Remember the best fonts are licenced so its illegal to use them with out paying for them just like stock art. Jase

The large budget thing is a little off-target. Sure there are some fonts linked to around here going for £200+ that are obviously restricted to the larger projects, but even if a project is something you're doing free of charge, it's still justifiable to purchase a particular font if it's what you're after - not only do you then have the font to use as you please, but there's no point going for some substandard alternative if it's a project that'll end up on your portfolio.. |
