Slab serifs and....

I'm designing a book containing the work i've done at my placement.

It's going to contain the entire chunk of work done for the end of year show to give out to future sponsors etc. I've chosen a Slab serif for main titles and was wondering what kind of font would go with this for body copy?

I didn't think a slab serif would work for the main content.

I'm using Serifa, however if there is a nicer one please feel free to suggest it.

Was gonna suggest Rockwell too, but I don't know any nice ones!
Slab serifs remind me of those really hard turds which you have to break up with the toilet brush to get rid of them. Slabs.

– Steve, I will never look at a slab serif font in the same way again!

Not sure if it falls under the Slab serif category: Typies: Romeral, a display typeface

Plus it's free, but you need to email the guy for it. I had it the next day.

depoends how much copy you have, the block serifs are difficult to read at smaller sizes or longer body lengths.

Id say it would be fine if you were dealing with short lengths of text, "Grafik" carry this off to good effect in their magazine. The headlines are set in avant garde and the copy in lublin graph.

If you have longer stretches of text I would go for a sans sefif but pair it up with a slab from the same family. This way it will give a cohesive appearence as the two fonts have been specifically designed to be paired with each other.

Thesis.ttf is probably a good bet
