Photoshop and OS X font appearance
Hi! Could anyone tell me, how do you deal with the fact, that there are font rendering differences between PS and OS X, for example - Arial or Helvetica in the web browser look different than the same typeface in PS, no matter which Anti-Aliasing method i use. The client sometimes, gets confused, because the font in the final result looks different from the mockup, exported from PS. Thanks. |

Just an unfortunate side affect of working with type on the web. I have pondered on ways this could be improved at length and simple answer is you just have to deal with the fact that different programs use different algorythms to render fonts. All you can do is maybe have a fiddle with the alias setting in ps but u still cant gaurantee an exact match Say NO to web 2.0

Wait till you see what Vista does with fonts! Trebuchet especially turns out like an entirely new font. If the result is tidy and legible, there shouldn't be any complaints. Lots of confusion, oh yes, but no complaints! |
