London based NB:Studio have created something similar to this, also inspired by Paula Scher. A quite large type driven map of London, named London's Kerning. ![]() ![]() NB: Studio |

hello
hello, i will be making these into posters to sell during the summer... (pending on if i can raise the money to do so..) so yea if you check on my flickr page then... i should have a proper website up and running then.. NB: studios.. yea i was in the exhibition that they did that poster for... I was commisioned by ISTD to do work for the exhibition. My city my london for the london design festival.... yea that poster was oposite mine... i displayed not only the print but the lino too as i love the linocut as a peice of art just as much as the print.. as its the labour that goes into it.. new york was about 50 -60 hours carving london about the same amsterda was about 100 hours carving time... let alone drawing and designing time... well i have only got a limited print run of 20 for the amsterdam print and even smaller for the other two as i just do not have the facilities to print it in... i have not printed the full 20 off yet but will.. and thats all i have said i will do.. so i am selling originals at 400 pounds which is based on the time i spent on it and the limited amonts of prints i am doing, and based on the fact the london print is selling for 200 pounds per print... and i have sold a few of them... so yea i am going to be selling a limited edition screen print from a digital scan in the summer...which will probably be about £50 or so maybee a little more depending on how much each one costs to get done.. kk cheers! thanks for the comments people! im continueing the series and doing paris next then not too sure maybee venice!... kk cheers byeeee |
