Nicest most accepted web safe font
Hello All, I was just curious as to which font you would choose if you had to put up a paragraph of text by itself on a page. I know macs and windows machines display fonts differently so which would look best for both platforms. Thanks! -Lee |

Trebuchet isn't yet overused and it doesn't look bad at most sizes. My free fonts www.utfi.net

I have a feeling Lucida Grande is the default font in Wordpress which would contribute a lot to its widespread use. Personally I agree with Comic Sans though, preferably oblique, in marquee tags. |

I've been trialling Segoe UI which you get with Windows Vista. It's a Frutiger look-alike. Worth a go... SkyRocket Design :: website design chichester

of course the benefit of the css font-family: is that you select a list of fonts in priority order, so you can do your best to ensure at least some of your users can view the site in the font you intended (perhaps a mac font for example) before falling back to the ultra web-safe fonts. |
