Verdana and Trebuchet MS, sometimes Arial, are the fonts I usually use. For good reasons.

ehh. i highly doubt most people running windows would even have helvetica unless they were designers, in which case cleartype would probably be on.

it still looks awful (almost unreadable), even with cleartype on.
