I downloaded the Modern Typefaces. It's a good example of the illogical but common habit of naming things "Modern" or "New".
They were new in 1839.
I thought I might turn a couple of the typefaces into computer fonts but I was so revolted by the designs that I'm going to delete the pdf and run a defrag to make sure every last byte disappears!

The Russian Calligraphy is a keeper, though.

Thanks for the post - can't say it's not interesting stuff!

I very quickly stopped doing it after I saved my first Vic-20 graphics in 1983. Where possible, I have always tried to persuade workmates to preface successive versions with dates or times - awkward when filenames were limited to 8 characters or less.

If it doesn't cause irreparable damage or look like deliberate sabotage, you can always use the wrong "finalversion.psd" or "newimage7.jpg" in a job and cause some mayhem which you can then innocently point out was not your fault at all but due to the stupid file-naming habits of your cow-orker. That'll learn 'em.

Silly orkers.
