Graphic/font character
Sorry if my terminology is off, but here's my question. We have a collection of signature images that we use when we want to print out documents that are pre-signed. When they print, the edges are pixelated. I'm wondering if it's possible to turn that signature image into a font character, so that it prints smooth edged, like regular text? |

tyke - your question may as well be asked out here. We don't judge (much). You can vector trace using Illustrator. SVG is a scalable vector format compatible with most MS docs - you can save your sigs in that format from illustrator and insert them into your document. A large GIF (200%+ of the final image) of the same sig would probable be fine for most office printers. |

Hurr Kurm very kindly made me an SVG version of one of the siggys, but Word won't recognize it. I have Office 2003, I think. How do I insert the image? I've installed the Adobe SVG reader, and I'm inserting the svg file as an object. But it says the application is not available to open this object. *sigh* I guess this isn't the right forum for this part of the problem. Last edited by Tyke : 09-03-2007 at 18:07. |

Get yourself a copy of Irfanview from www.irfanview.com and you can convert from SVG to whatever primitive format Word requires. Probably jpeg. Or get yourself a copy of Open Office from www.openoffice.org and use that instead of Word. |
