Using Trebuchet MS on websites?

I was thinking of using Trebuchet MS as my font on my website because I've been on DesignersTalk for a while and I really like this font.

But I had a look at this font on a friends machine and because he had Standard for font settings as opposed to ClearType, then Trebuchet MS doesn't look that great.

Right click desktop > Appearence > Effects > ClearType

Basically what I'm asking is do you guys think most people will have ClearType settings on their machines so that Trebuchet MS looks good, or should I just stick with Verdana for my website text?

Trebuchet looks good either way, I think. I tend to use Tahoma as it's sort of in between Trebuchet and Verdana and is prettier.

Also, I use Verdana as a fall-back for Tahoma.

I think ClearType looks fine on some monitors.

I agree. Looks terrible on some set-ups but it can be quite subtle on others.

Looks great on my Dell FPW2005.

But these standard Dell LCDs at work don't look quite as good.
