Your must haves
Am re-reading Stop Stealing Sheep for my final major project at Uni, and it says: "Most Graphic Designers and Typographers agree that only a handful of typefaces is needed for their daily work; fortunately (...) they could never agree on the game dozen or so typefaces. We need thousands. Then each of us can pick our favourites. Just like shoes..." So, if you had to limit yourself to ten fonts, what would they be? For Print and Web? |

Nice. Was expecting Helvetica Neue, but not some others. but you didn't limit yourself to ten! (not that that matters, just trying out this theory and seeing if there are consistencies) What? No Futura fred? |

Bit off topic, but say i'd created a new font. How wold I actually go about making it? I mean, I've designed it, a year or so back, and when I've got a bit of time, I would love to make it a working font. How would I go about doing that? |

If you've created the letters in illustrator - need to import them into fontlab or fontographer - fontlab is better imo. Then its a case of lots of tweaking the shapes, then you have to start kerning it. |
