not sure if you're interested in stand up comedians as well but i'd heartily recommend both Dave Gorman and Bill Bailey

Dave Gormans Googlewhack adventure...

Bill Bailey - Part Troll...

Deffo agree with The Fast Show, Father Ted, BlackAdder, Only Fools and Horses, Men Behaving Badly and The Young Ones.

Would add One Foot in The Grave and Mr Bean.

thanks everyone.
I've already got
peter kay things, Phoenix nights
fast show and even got Spaced special edition....
and watched all Father Ted DVD already..

I couldnt get into Red Dwalf and Black Adder.
Also, although no one mentioned yet,
League of Gentlemen was bit too dark for me lol
How about Harry Enfield?

JiRaffe> I love stand-up comedy as well.
Dave Gorman! I forgot about him.
I enjoyed his book, was it, Are you Dave Gorman?
I'm gonna buy Bill Bailey one as well!

Mr Bean is rubbish.

Only Fools & Horses is good.

Fact.

Mr Bean breaks comedy barriers - it's the only comedy that 'works' anywhere and IMO some of it is very funny particularly the early ones. The film is a bag-o-shite though.

One Foot in The Grave is also very funny IMO.

As is Only Fools and Horses.

Stand Up - Ross Noble is cracking, wierdo.
I forgot about league of gentlemen, one of my favourites.
Harry Enfield used to be good, Fastshow did it better though.
Mr Bean is a pile of shit.

Yeah Are You Dave Gorman? was great. If you liked that you'll definately enjoy his Googlewhack Adventure. You should also check out Danny Wallace's (Dave Gormans housemate) book "Join Me", where he sets up his own cult without even trying.

Saw Bill Bailey live a couple of months ago and I didnt stop laughin through the whole show. His techo-remix of George bush quotes was brilliant

ONE FOOT IN THE GRAVE = pile of pap (sorry seen. To)
MR BEAN = even bigger pile of pap (not sorry)

Comedy is in the laugh of the watcher. One Foot in The Grave always makes me laugh and Mr Bean usually makes me laugh. They aren't my favorites but I'd still always have them on my list.
I'd also add
Drop The Dead Donkey
They Think it's All Over
Have I Got News For You

What would everyone pick if they could only choose 1 show?

I'd choose The Fast Show.

thank you, guys!
I'm gonna order
1. Ricky Gervais- Politics
2. Peter Kay live
3. Dave Gorman
4. Bill Baily

damn! all stand-up comedy now!
need more TV series..
Mr Bean is funny, but bit harmless.
I like quite offensive comedy.

I've bought "Join me" but havent finished it yet.
funny and spooky, how stupid the people are?
Only fools and horses > it will be on TV anyway at Christmas?
they are not TV comedy but I enjoyed Shan of Dead and
Boys around me loved Sex lives of Potato men
