Agreed.

You mentioned "House". Not only is it the worst/most "trying to be hip and pretentious" name for a show, but I watched two episodes and thought it was boring. Hell, ER is still on (I think), I'd rather watch that.

Yeah it's pretty shit. Like I said I only watch it to see how shoddy Hugh Laurie is as an American... And just to keep it lame they have an actor from Neighbours or Home and Away (Australian soap which fortunately didn't make it over here... not that it's any worse than the pathetic storylines on Days and Passions, both of which, for some unknown reason, my wife says are entertaining).

Havent watched tele in ages. Last thing I remember watching was "Sally Jessy Raphael" and she had lots of secret videos of disgruntled secretaries weeing everywhere.

Quite odd.

Oddly enough, I like this one, despite the fact that I don't like makeover your face/body/house/etc shows.

Can't stand people perstering me when I'm in a shop. Wont be making anyone any commission anytime soon unless they are actually genuinely helpful which is very rare.

Strange turn for this thread to take but hey ho.

My most annoying approach received in a shop was in Cash Converters about 10 years ago.

Shop assistant clearly on crack: Hello maate, how's it going, good I hope, haven't seen you for a while, are you looking for anything special today?

Me in a nicely condascending way: Calm down fella. If I'm gonna buy something I'll let you know. As you were.

I'd never seen him before in my life.

I also worked in a shop for a few months. My most embarrasing approach to a customer...

Me in a sickingly polite way: Can I help you sir?

Customer in a slightly hurt way: Err I'm a woman.

Me: Are you completely sure?*

Customer: Yes.

Me: Lesbian then?

*Okay I didn't really ask are you sure or anything that followed that, just wanted to. Instead I probably said something like "Oh I'm terribly sorry madam, I really must get some new glasses"

So how was he? I only saw the last ten minutes when he was having a quiet boo to himself driving off in his shiny jag back to his mansion.

Disappointing.

He reverted to chat show host Kilroy. Tried to mediate between the council / local people and the gypos and was even nice to them occasionally. Pah!
