Did you like the soundtrack? Zach Braff (the writer/director & star of Scrubs) sent the actors the soundtrack's songs along with the screenplay. While they were reading, he asked them to play each songs when they'd be played during the specific scene in the movie. I've heard this helped him get Natalie Portman, but who the hell knows?

The music really helps make this movie great. It's one of the finer movie/soundtrack combinations in (my) recent memory.

Went to my first ever drive-in last night and saw Hitch Hikers Guide To The Galaxy

I'm a total fan of the original TV series, having watched it as a kid and bought the DVD's as soon as they were released... Because of this I was slightly dubious of the film and didn't expect it to live up to expectations, but it did and I thorougly enjoyed every minute of it

Nice little cameo's from the original Arthur Dent, Simon Jones as the ghostly image of Magrathea and the original Marvin the Android made a brief apperance in a queue.

Excellent casting throughout with Martin Freeman as Arthur Dent, Alan Rickman voices the paranoid android excellently and Stephen Fry is perfect as 'the book' - so much so that I thought it was the original voice at times (difficult being as Peter Jones is dead). Bill Nighy was great as Slarty Bartfast and Zoey Deschanel was mostly great as Trillian. Sam Rockwell as Zaphod Beeblebrox was a bit annoying and I didn't like the new head placement. Ford Prefect played a lesser role in the movie but it was still well executed by Mos Def.

If you enjoyed the original it's worth seeing, if you didn't see/read/listen to the original give it a go anyway.

And if you've never been to a drive-in and get the opportunity, go... best way to watch a movie IMO

Saw Sin City this weekend. Wow! One of the most violent movies I've seen in quite some time, but excellently styled and overall...very well done. The amount of T&A throughout didn't hurt my interest either

Another 3;

Napolean Dynamite - Really didn't know how to take this at first, but seemed decent enough
Sideways - Quality
When the Last Sword is Drawn - Epic Asian shogun film, got lost somewhere in the middle.

Got my tix for Revenge of the Sith this Saturday night. They were unbelievably easy to get, and I didn't have to camp out for a week like those wankers at the Chinese Theater in Hollywood.

I am not expecting much, so I won't be disappointed when/if it sucks ass...

Quite wish this started this weekend, too. I'd prefer to see how Burton puts his spin on it over watching Hayden Christensen unable to act his way out of a wet paper bag.

Saw it last night! Thought it was awesome. The first story was quality - liking the style and the way the film was directed, the crossover from print is seamless.
