Employee of the Month a couple of nights ago. Not the worst film but nowhere near great. Didn't predict what was going to happen at all so that was a bonus.

Envy last night. Worth a watch if everything else is out.
and
Eurotrip. Pretty lame really - couple of funny moments with Vinny Jones and Joanna Lumley but not enough to warrant watching it tbh.

Few recent ones....

Man on fire - alright, style over substance tho

Bourne Supremacy - Good

Scarface - seen it a few times, but watched it again a couple of nights back - still GREAT

High Fidelity - I liked it, Jack Black is hilarious, lent it to a couple of mates who thought it was totally shit

In The Cut - boring

Jun The Grudge - pretty good. watched it alone, shit myself, some very scary bits in it

The Grudge (american one), exactly same plot and shots as japanese one, but not as scary and sarah michelle gellar can't act

Liar Liar - Genius (still)

The Stepford Wives (new version). Bit better than the original but nothing special.

Great quote from it...

When one of the conspirators behind the design of the Wives reveals that he used to work for AOL, Kidman's character comes back with, "Is that why all the women are so slow?"

Started to watch Boys & Girls but it was such an utter sack of pus that I gave up after 20 minutes.

Recently seen:

National Treasure - not surprisingly awful

Shi mian mai fu/House of Flying Daggers - worth it, but don't rush the the theater...a good rental

Robots - excellent on the big screen. Great for the geek-minded.

Be Cool - Parts of it were funny, but not NEARLY as good as Get Shorty

Garden State - personal fav of '04

Your mates are wrong...where else are you going to learn to make the ultimate mix tape/CD?

If you (don't) want to see a movie with Jack Black that is utter shit, try Envy.

Spot on...I've spoken to so many that hated it, and I totally disagree. It's an original, ULTRA-REALISTIC shark-attack movie. The end just completely frustrated me...but that's the effect it's going for throughout. I'll have that movie in my head every time I dive for the rest of my life...

You should see some of the pages on incidents like that which have happened near me & in the Caribbean. It's much more common than you'd imagine.

Last quote...promise...but we should warn if there are spoilers. My 2 cents.

The Incredibles - saw it last night on DVD...for lack of a more original word...incredible! Another Pixar gem...

[sidenote]I would have loved to have skipped the web altogether and gone to work (in some form) on movies like this.[/sidenote]

The incredibles it is tonight then based on Roto's recommendation

Saw Kill Bill 1 & 2 last night. Standard Tarantino nicely shot bloodfest, got nothing on Pulp Fiction but worth a watch.

Worst film i've seen in a long time. Just another piss poor hollywood remake, as Barry Norman might say

Nice! You won't regret it. A good one for the wife and kids, too, if they're around/if they exist.

Spot on about the Kill Bills, too. Pulp Fiction still remains Tarantinos' champion...followed closely by Reservoir Dogs (Lend me an ear? )

Did you know that the big bloodfest in KB1 is actually shown in full colour (Black and white for us Westerners) for the Eastern release version? Interesting fact for you there.

Watching 'Falcons" tonight
