Slumdog is brilliant. Uplifting, sad, colourful and gritty – with a wee bit of magic.

The sound track is brilliant also been listening to alot of 'Paper Planes' by M.I.A, which is the tune played as they run through the slum

Have to mention Gran Torino - great film, its the kind of film that stays with you after you have watched it.

I recently went to see "My Bloody Valentine 3-D" and ended up really enjoying it! The 3-D was exceptional and the story was far more involving than I anticipated. As far as more "serious minded" fare is concerned, "Milk," Frost/Nixon" and "Gran Torino" were all very effective.

Just watched Sleepers, it wasn't a very good film. While some of the scenes were very powerful but i felt like i was been patronized. It sorta tailed off half way through.

Anyone saw Knowing?
Just watched it, it was a well unexpected film! the trailer doesn't give it all away surprisingly. I spent half of the film hiding behind my cardigan! It was very scary!

Yes ...Taken was very good indeed... Liam Neeson rocked in it ..not the typical action hero.
Knowing ..I haven't seen ..have been put off by the reviews..

Got Taken to watch later, rather looking forward to it now!

Also rewatched Taxi Driver t'other day, epic De Niro and a Jodie Foster as a 13 year old prostitue for the win!

its a feature length documentary but the way the footage has been cut gives it a cinematic feel.
