Yeh I really enjoyed this film, both Joaquim Phoenix and Reese Witherspoon sang really good, pleasently suprised.

Was ok, not as good as Old Boy though.

I just watched On the waterfront. I loved it - it seems to me most people who post on this thread talk about new films, does anyone have any suggestions for older films?

Citizen Kane - way ahead of its time.
Grapes of Wrath - great documentary-style story about the dust bowl.
12 Angry Men - because Henry Fonda is awesome.

yeah just recently watched all three of those, wonderland is set after boogie nights though isn't it? Think I prefer boogie nights, maybe because it's easier to watch. Magnolia is great aswell, the character tom cruise plays is fantastic.

the other night I watched Tae Guk Gi: The Brotherhood of War, a superb Korean film with English subtitles about two brothers fighting in the Korean War that rivals likes of Saving Private Ryan and Band of Brothers. If you love war films with no holds bared for graphic portrayal of war and explores the darker side of the human mind, then you must watch this.

Probably one of the greatest movies EVER. I laughed my ass off. Anyone seen that? pretty good quality for an indie.

^ I wouldn't call it good like "No country for old men" but it is alot better than I expected production and acting-wise. it is total shit though, but good shit alas.

I was pretty sure it was meant to be a serious film, right up until the point where she goes to the doctors. Seeing him fly around all over the place and then hold up his bloody hand in true horror style was just hilarious.
