Watched United 93 last night. Pretty good. For me - there's no proof that what happened on the plane is how they portrayed it - so the intersting bits to me where the parts in air traffic control etc. I'm presuming that was based on fact - and shows the cock-ups that didn't help the situation at all.

Also watched Who killed the electric Car - documentary about auto manufacturers and oil manufacturers stopping the manufacture of electric cars. Sounds boring - but actually pretty interesting.

The missus wanted a Rom-Com so we rented Prime. I was pleasantly surprised at the end considering I hadn't heard of it. She fell asleep, and I got to watch the lucky bloke shag Uma countless times. It's not a top recommendation, but a tolerable one if the missus begs for something "we can both watch".

Miami Vice

proper

Hilariously bad dialogue saves this terrible film for all the wrong reasons.

Saw Pan's labyrinth last night. Awesome film. Completely unlike anything else I've ever seen at the cinema! Compelling and unpredictable. See it now!

Don't you mean, the only proof that exists supports the official account: that passengers heard what had happened in NYC and DC and realized they were next, so they decided to fight back?

The rest (government shot it down, etc.) are unfounded conspiracy theories that have probably been debunked over and over again to the same resounding replies of "That's what they want you to think, man! You're just a blind member of the American sheeple, man! Open your eyes!"

Excellent film, though. Heartbreaking.

Blood Diamond -- disturbing, yet brilliant. HIGHLY recommended! Leo has come a long way...and if Djimon Hounsou doesn't win an Academy Award, something's wrong with the academy.

It was laquer (as they say in SA) m8...perfect. I was very critical of him going into it, but he really was fantastic...and I can't believe I'm saying that.

Djimon Hounsou (Gladiator, In America) also deserves some recognition for a strong supporting role.

Deja Vu - shittest concept for a film ever.

A good turn from Denzel fails to make this in the slightest bit believable. And the music, jeez.
