Fucking spammer.

I bought "The Grand Illusion" yesterday. And "The Princess Bride" last week - my favorite movie when I was a kid.

Dancing in the Dark
It's a Dogme95 film (the most extreme form of realism, no props, no tripod, no sfx) starring Bjork as the main character.

worst. film. ever.

Fezzik, are there rocks ahead?
If there are...we'll all be dead!

No more rhymes now, I mean it!
Anybody want a peanut?!?!

Arrrrrrrrghhhhhhhhhh...!

I have that movie memorized, pretty much, word for word. It's a classic.

Speaking of children's movies, I watched Because of Winn Dixie with my nieces and nephew (who are 1, 3 & 5). I think I enjoyed it more than they did because 2 of 3 fell asleep. Dave Matthews made his first movie appearance, and he did a pretty good job. If I was a kid, I'd give it a 10/10, but as an adult, about a 6 1/2 out of 10.

Not at all

If you like films such as Sideways or Lost in Translation then you're onto a winner.

Been renting utter crap lately :-/

Of particular note:

Nothing: Pair of twats wish the world away then bounce around in white space and do crap for way too long. Wankers.

Broken Flowers: Bill Murray is supposed to be a playah in this lame attempt at entertainment. Apparently it's a comedy but the only time I laughed was when I realised it was finally over.

I think that's a great film myself. Nothing cheery about it but a good story of a friends betrayal and a mother's sacrifice with good acting all round.

I want to see Broken Flowers. I've always liked Jim Jarmusch movies and you can't go wrong with Bill Murray.

Also, I've just purchased the Star Wars box set of episodes 4-6. No way in hell I'm buying the new ones.

Bill Murray = great - have to agree there! Just don't rate this film in the slightest though, (apart from when his ex's daughter put it all on display - don't tell my missus that's the only bit I liked though )

Rent it mate, would be nice to have your opinion on it.

Star Wars... I saw the first one back in '77... what an old bastard I am eh!

I bought 4-6 on VCD in 2k2 after the official "last ever release of Star Wars" which was on VHS. Was vaguely pissed to see that they released them on DVD after stumping up too much cash for VCDs but hey ho.

It just goes on and on and on.

On other movie-related news, I signed up for Amazon's DVD rental service on Saturday.

Yeh, slow. Nice photography though. My bigoted friend sat through it mumbling about jewish propaganda, for the whole 3 hours, and some kids were crying at the front, so it wasn't made easy for me to enjoy

Bigoted or not, he might have a point. Should never get your history from Hollywood anyway.
