Headhunters
8.5/10

Went in to the cinema and with low expectations and was gripped from the opening scene to the finish. I rarely get that with films nowadays.

It's Norwegian and subtitled but don't let you put that off, easily one of the best films I've seen in the last couple of years

Not great. Bit of a Bourne Identity rip-off. Is it just me or are most of Liam Neeson's films crap?

He's made some crap lately. I can't buy him as some sort of tough secret agent (like in Taken). He was OK in Kinsey.

Winter's Bone. 10/10.

Netflix synposis:
Quote:
Resilient teen Ree Dolly goes on the trail of her missing, drug-dealing father when his absence at a court hearing jeopardizes the family's safety.

Jennifer Lawrence is:

A.) Hot.
B.) A superb actress.

+1 for John Hawkes.

Jennifer Lawrence doesn't look quite as without makeup though.

Most actors don't imo, but I actually think she looks better without. And to be fair, pretty sure she's still covered in it in that film. Mascara/foundation to give her a pleasant au naturale feel without the authenticity.

Same guy who made Fucking Åmål, which I think gets a bit too much credit as a great movie because of its subject matter, but it's still a very good film. Then again I was also about the same age as the people in the movie when I saw it, maybe I missed something.

Killer Elite (2011) - IMDb

8/10 I can rarely fault anything with DeNiro though.

I'm not being critical and I do believe I've said it before but Mister Brainwash is such massive chancer haha. Great doc.

Just watched Melancholia. Lars Von Trier take on the end-of-world of sorts. Like it states in the promo copy, visually stunning (especially the first 10 minutues) Watch it on Blu-Ray/HD with surround sound if possible. 6/10

Easier with Practice. Leisurely paced, small budget, awkward characters, ending is class. (btw, not a romantic comedy at all) 7.5/10

Moon - 9/10
Starring Sam Rockwell, it was a sci-fi that we seen before and that's why it was great. We just don't see movies like Moon anymore since we moved on from the space age. I can't go too deep into the plot without major spoilers, but lets just say that Sam isn't alone on the Moon.

In what world is that not a spoiler?

Ooooh. I was going to go and see that, too. Well, there's no point now. I thought he was alone... "Sam, alone on the moon, running time about 2 hours - yup, that's for me." I am shattered.

I wish someone told me the end of Marley and Me, before i wasted my time watching that shite. If anyone is wondering who hasn't seen it, they get a dog, the couple have a relationship which doesn't work out, the dog dies. That's it.

I'd probably agree with that. I enjoyed it, music was good, liked the way it was filmed, Richard Ayoade did a cracking job. Was a bit miserable though. I'd probably upgrade it to an 8.
