cloverfield

Somebody put the video on here last year - looked quite good.

Seen it last night, the whole film is first person. I really enjoyed the whole thing, until the end. It sort of rushed off, but I suppose they had to

Anyhoo I enjoyed it and I suggest you lot go see it, unless you get really bad motion sickness.

An American Godzilla by the creator of Lost. I'll wait for it to be televised and not watch it then.

Also, every respectable critic panned it. The Village Voice headline was "Run for Your Lives, Douchebags!"

i just saw it. quite liked it up until the end which left me hanging, but from reading up on it it seems like a sequal is very probable

SPOILER - rollover
after the credits are rolled you hear what sounds like white noise and then 'help me', reversed the white noise says 'it's still alive'.
also, in the last scene at coney island (filmed in the past)you see something crash into the ocean.

I watched the Totally Rad Show's review/discussion of Cloverfield this morning and found it very good. Starts at like 5:30:

Went to see it today...great flick. 100% pure chaos. Just don't eat a big dinner before you go.

i seen it, and want to see the sequel now and the next sequel also. Maybe a PC game, as these things will come eventually. The movie was good, i like the way it is made. From a different point of view, but the last movie where all things should get explained, should not be like this.

The first person shaky hand-held camera POV made me sick.

Didn't think the cam was so bad - certainly not Blair Witch levels of sickness inducing!

As for a sequel, I really hope they don't. Film was good, but I can't see another good film being made from the storyline.

After 3 attempts at watching it on my PC I haven't managed to sit through the entire thing even once. It bored me to tears. The main problem I have is that I hate all the characters, and I consider characters the most important part of a film. I didn't even hate all the characters in Downfall.

I loved the idea of the first person/handy cam perspective, but the movie just fails on its poor writing and acting.

I loved it. You need to see it at the cinema on a massive screen. Watching some piss poor cam version on your computer at home is obviously going to make this type of movie dog shite.

It had nothing to do with the screen size or quality (which was not perfect but watchable). I just thought it was badly written and acted. The characters were annoying and two-dimensional.
