Synopsis: drug scene, seen through the eyes of drug dealers, and law enforcement

Don't we have enough of that sort of mundane crap already? I don't understand why anyone would voluntarily watch yet more of it!

I cannot suspend my distaste for a commercial hour AND withstand tv advertising.
I know this series has had good reviews, but the whole genre is so worn and clichéd by now.

just started watching this from season 1.

3 episodes in and a bit underwhelmed tbh. Am going to give it to halfway through the season and see how it pans out.

Almost finished the first season of Damages - well good.

I know what you mean with the start of season 1 but believe me you won't be dissapointed. Stick with it!

Damages was good and its coming back for a second season too.

I found season 1 to start really slow as well, but it definitely finished well. I really liked it. I really enjoyed season 2 as well. Season 3 was pretty good, but I drifted off halfway through season 4 and never watched the end.

I'm having difficulty getting into season 1 at the moment. I've actually watched Ep 1. Everyone I talk to about it thinks it's brilliant, but I watch TV to tune out this could be too much work...

Is anyone finding season 5 to be dragging it's heels a bit with these homeless homicides? I'm about to watch episode 7 of it now. Episode 6 wasn't bad mind.

I really like The Wire. It took me a few episodes to get into it and understand what they were saying (very fast american accents confuse me), but it's worth it. Fantastic show!

I love the wire. I think it has to be the best show ever to grace our screens. It is a hard watch though. I remember buying the DVD of season 1 a couple of years ago not really knowing anything about it, I took a chance on it and at first I thought I had wasted my money. Watching the first episode felt like watching a show for teenage gangster wannabes but I am so glad I stuck with it because its brilliant and clever. I'm jealous of anybody yet to watch it.

Ok, you've inspired me to give it another go. I think I'll have to watch from the beginning again.
