You'd have to have a serious lack of fun not to enjoy this film.

Some of the best fight sequences on film.

Apparently the books are worth a read. Or you could buy the books and ignore them, whatever you're into.

I read the first book when it was first published in 1980. I still have it so it is probably older than most of you..

The films bear no resemlance to the movies apart from the fishing boat at the beginning, but that was done better with a great fight.

Remember there were no mobile phones then or proper computers or laser keyrings.

Watched it on Monday, absolutely fucking superb, edge of seat stuff. Get to see it. Fight scenes and chasing amazing.

ooh - they just showed them on itv2 over 2 nights back-to-back this week ...

i watched them - liked the first one.
2nd one was just more of the same - i expect the 3rd one to be 'more of more of the same' ...

the fights and chase scenes are cut so quickly (lots of quick scenes from daft angles) - that you don't actually get to see whats happening ... just flashes and noises.

i'll wait til its on tv, thanks

I would rather gnaw my leg off than sit through yet another film with edge of seat fight scenes and chasing.
Anything that attracts as much hype as this always sets off my BS radar.

saw it last night - it was good and left me sufficiently pumped full of adrenaline that I was seriously considering taking the mobile off the guy next to me (who kept checking his messages) and beating him to a bloody pulp with it.

Very shaky camera work though, don't watch if you get seasick.
