I don't think everyone gets off the island. They keep speaking of the 'Oceanic 6', which implies to me that six people get off the island. The people we know definitely get off are Jack (end of season 3, season 4 ep1) Hurley (season 4 ep1) Kate (end of season 3) Sayeed (season 4 ep 2) Ben could maybe be considered as getting off the island, but it appears that he has been able to come and go in the past, and he wasn't on Oceanic, so I don't think he is one of the Oceanic 6. Although he could theoretically have taken someone's identity from the plane. Desmond is also potentially one of the Oceanic 6, although we have only seen him going to the boat, we don't know if he actually got back to civilization. Jack asked Hurley at the end of ep1 if "they are still alive", and Ben referred to Sayeed wanting to protect his friends (or something like that). I think that is in reference to the people still on the island. Finally, the question that was left in my mind is whether Sayeed is doing this for his own motivations, or because Ben is making him. He did make the comment "the day I trust that man is the day I sell my soul" (or something like that). Lost rocks! |

...or, I'm wrong, and Kate had Sawyer's baby and Sawyer himself is still on the island. When he says "he'll", she's referring to her & Sawyer's son. Ooooooooooooooh... Quote:
![]() Yeah, I mentioned earlier that I'm not trying to figure anything out. Well, Season 4 has started and I guess that has changed. Quote:

Just finished watching episode 3. Oh my days I can't get enough of this program. Can't believe we've actually reached the point when some of them have actually left the island (albeit to this mysterious freighter). Another interesting thing is that the physicist bloke and his rockets with the clocks in them... his experiment seems to suggest the island has it's own odd time zone or something. Also - Desmond wasn't on the plane, remember, he arrived at the island when his ship crashed into it, so in theory he couldn't be one of the Oceanic 6... Argh - another 6 days to wait until the next one! |

Also is anyone else wondering why the general population seem to be frightened of the 'Oceanic 6'? Like when Hurley went off in the car chase the crowd and police all had funny looks as if he couldn't possibly exist. Something very strange is definitely happening with Ben especially that last scene with him treated Saed. The Saed we've come to know is not the type of person to be frightened like that surely? I agree, and also the physicist said to the pilot to follow the bearing exactly no matter what. Maybe the Island is in a separate time continuum... |

How did "Freckles" end up with Claire's baby? THAT made the last episode's ending damn good... I was also wrong here: Quote:

I watched the first two episodes of season one and gave up on it, like all the other people I know - although some of them suffered through up to 4 episodes. It seems that the commercial breaks inside Lost have become much shorter in later seasons because Finnish advertisers have realised that no-one is actually following this crap on a regular basis. As far as I'm concerned, a three sentence summing-up of what this hideously overblown supernatural crap was supposed to be about will do just fine. If I'm interested enough to read it, the fifteen seconds spent doing so will do the whole shebang justice. My free fonts www.utfi.net

I dug this episode - I'm enjoying seeing Locke's progression into psychoticness. I think he's on the verge of losing it. But, I think he is doing it right. I don't know that deciding you're the boss without asking everyone is the right move to have made, but since he made it, he'd better step up to it 100%, which he's been doing. Ben still has the upper hand on him though. Quote:
I thought about this, and I don't think that can be said one way or another. There is no way to know if the airport scene was before or after. Personally, I'm more inclined to think the airport scene was after this episode, simply because Jack was pretty coherent here still. |

I think we can safely say it is after. Whomever is making them lie about what happened is obviously getting to Jack more by the time he starts losing it, where as in kate and hurley's flash forward, it seems he is just about handling it. I am starting to think that the rest don't all die, that infact alot of them are still there, which is why jack tells Kate "we have to go back". I am now very curious as to who the last of the 6 is (as i guess turnip-head counts as one) |

It was a good twist. Now we know something bad is going to happen to Claire. What's also interesting was that as Jack testifies in court, he talks about only 8 people surviving the crash. So the others who may still be alive on the island are being covered up as having survived. Why is that? I have a feeling that in the next episode or two, Michael and Walt will maybe pop up in the flash forward. |
