it was a pretty good film, but i thought it was weird too how they set it in the middle of a war. they didn't focus a lot on the fantasy world part

Maybe the fantasy world was created because of the war and her surroundings ?

I loved this film btw, only just saw it the other day.

Am i the only one who didn't like this film?

"The Labyrinth" . . now that's a proper film.

Indeed.

You remind me of the baby
What baby? the baby with the power
What power? power of voodoo
Who do? you do
Do what? remind me of the baby

Quality.
RIP Jim Henson

Saw 'There Will Be Blood' this weekend, and yes it was excellent.
Daniel Day Lewis was unbelieveable - just his voice alone made the film.

Well, my point for posting here is that I saw the trailer for this The Orphanage | Official Movie Site | Now Playing in Theaters! Guillermo Del Toro production - looks like yet another cracker. Just thought you Pans fans would like to know.

I didn't like 'There Will Be Blood', Day Lewis was superb and the soundtrack and visuals made the film worth watching, but the story?!? Meh.

agreed pans labyrinth was awful. the 'fantasy' parts didn't even have any relevance whatsoever besides just looking good.

the fantasy parts had nothing to do with it. They're not meant to. It's meant to be about the last moments of a childs life..

at least that's what i got.

So I love the movie, don't get me wrong. But I think the trailer ruined it for me. I tend to enjoy the trailer more than the film often. I was expecting more awesome creatures, but you got to see them all in the trailer.
