..has just been announced.

Although it is some way off (filming starts 2007!!) I just can't help but get excited.

They've also confirmed who is going to play the Joker. Heath Ledger

Anybody heard of him? or seen him in anything else? Seems to have done a few big films.

I think the Untitled Batman Begins Sequel will be (the new one) Dark Knight, even though they haven't started shooting yet!?

I had a quick look on imdb as well as I hadn't heard of him. Must say it brought a little smile to my face when I saw he'd been in Brokeback Mountain....Anyone fancy a gay Joker then

The first two batman movies were excellent I thought, the first one in particular. After Tim burton toddled off it went seriously downhill. And Jack Nicholson is gonna take some beating as the Joker.

The character of the Joker will change a lot I bet - not quite as flamboyant as Nicholson's.

I agree. And that's because they stayed true to the comics...

Hoping for a bit of a twisted/fucked up Joker like in Killing Joke (the comic) as oppose to the quirky mainstream Nicholson incarnation. Not that I have a problem with Jack's version as it suited the style of film. But Batman is all dark now...
