What did you think? Just saw it on the weekend I thought it was great to see those characters back on the screen and at times it was funny but other times it got way too gross out comedy for the teenagers.

I'll see it on DVD. I've completely lost faith in Kevin Smith. I thought, "Well, Mallrats was a fluke." then Chasing Amy came and restored my faith.

Then Dogma came and it was the beginning of the end. Jay and Silent Bob was utter shit and and Kevin Smith is now competing only with Cameron Crowe for "Most-Self-Referential-Self-Fellating-And-Highly-Overrated-Director-Slash-Writer-Ever".

I loved Mallrats. I hope Clerks 2 is good or ill be having a right mard.

Agree with pgo that Jay and Silent Bob was really bad. THought Dogma was quite good. Really like Clerks so I find it hard to see how Clerks 2 can be any better.

Clerks was good cos it had that no-budget vibe to it. Hard to recreate when hollywood throws pots of cash at it... but i guess I'll reserve judgement till I actually see it #2!

I have to say I thought Mallrats was good- agree on dogma and jay and silent bob. Not enough in those characters to hang an entire film on.

I agree that once hollywood through its hand in it is hard to recreate that sarcastic and dark comedy.

mallrats
chasing amy
dogma
J&S strike back is utter teenage crap.

Still not sure how I feel about Clerks 2..............
