Went to see it on sunday, shocking

If any of you have seen Football Factory, you'll know what a good mindless football holliganism film should be. Greenstreet was for an American audience and it's total cockweed, lead (American) hooligan keeps slipping out of his cockney accent.

I've heard that Mr Van Dyke's legendary Cokerney accent has been out-done spectacularly in this film, and that no matter how hard you try, you just can't get the thought out of your head that its Frodo going to the football.

I didnt think Frodo was playing a cockney? I thought he was an american with english cousins or something? Football factories allright. They should film Marabou Stork Nightmares by Irvine Welsh - that'd be good

No, he plays an American who comes to England as far as I know, I don't think it was his accent that the critic was talking about.

I haven't seen it personally so its not an ideal review, but Mark Kermode didn't really rate it.

just read it. So its the other star (who Ive never heard of) who really mutilates the accent then. Ahh well...you just cant trust those yanks. Wonder if it was as bad as Brad Pitts pikey accent in Snatch - now that was truly appalling
