The Shawshank Redemption

Only seen it last night. I think it's one of the best prison-escape-type-of-movie I've seen.
(The one I like most is Cool Hand Luke)

It's a good one.

As is Cool Hand Luke and The Great Escape.

The Birdman of Alcatraz is decent, too.

The best, in my opinon, is The Grand Illusion. It's about POWs in WW1 escaping to Switzerland and the pointlessness of war and all that.

Haha don't care that much about films. Seen it on TV yesterday because I had no sleep.
Quality, though. I think I can see it a second time, too.

Got my gran to watch Shawshank once, she didn't like it. "It's brutal" she said.

The brutality is balanced out by some really great life-affirming moments though, isn't it?

Silly gran!

Is it as blasphemous and immoral as all the christian headcases are making it out to be? I can't be bothered with any film that has anything to do with that Gibson idiot.

I'm not a religious person but when it was finished, I said to myself: "What did we do to the poor man?".
It makes you wonder I guess.

South Park's The Passion of the Jew episode is good.

Tells you all you need to know about Gibson's film. Get your gran to review that instead.

Love the film, propably the best Stephen King adaptation. Recommend the book it came from "Four Seasons", which also contains "Stand by me"

Shawshank Redemption is also number 2 at the internet movie database. It really is a classic.
