Sparrow has just had an update - you can now assign and edit gmail labels from it.

Not earth shattering but a handy little addition nonetheless.

Finally made the full time switch to Firefox 4 b7. Much faster: Firefox 4 Beta

Firebug doesn't work however, but I don't do loads of web stuff so that's fine for me. Loving the tabs on top. I've been working on a userchrome.css tweak to clean up the UI. It's here if you want it (still a wip): userChrome.css

Do you use Addon Compatibility Reporter?

I've been holding off trying FF4 because of worries over addons.

The latest Firebug alpha works in Firefox 4 beta 7. Forces the "add-on bar" to show though. http://getfirebug.com/releases/fireb...g-1.7X.0a5.xpi. What does your userchrome change?

The only addon I really miss is Greasemonkey.

It's designed for firefox on mac.

It does the following:

removes the white space around the security badge, integrating it into the search bar
slims down the bookmarks bar slightly
removes favicons in the bookmarks bar
removes the background around toolbar buttons when they are dragged into the bookmarks bar (I have the history and bookmarks buttons in there, like in safari)
removes the go button in the location bar
removes go button in in search bar
makes the star button more subtle

Basically it brings it towards the standard of Grapple Yummy, the best OSX theme out there for firefox 3.

I'd like to play around some more, but that's enough for one day.

Won't be installing firebug if it makes the addons bar show - I love how they managed to get rid of it.

Just worked out you can invoke panorama with a three-finger swipe. Niice.

The Reeder for Mac Beta has just been released: made@gloria!

I don't like the tweetie-like icons, but you can expand the column to get a list view.

You can hide the addon-bar using userChrome, regardless of the in-application setting, by modifying the #addon-bar element.

P.S. Do people prefer Coda or Espresso?

I just found out you can download a beta of stylish for ffb7, so I've been using that. Way faster to play with as there's no reloading the browser.

sparrow for mac - anyone using this heavily? I find that if the app has seen a new message and fired a growl notification up on screen, then i can't access that mail other than the inbox summary on my iphone. open the message and its blank, as if sparrow has locked it out by displaying a notification of it. close sparrow down restart the mac and its ok again.

annoying, cos i'm loving sparrow as a mail client.

I was using Sparrow for a short time but as its been 'improved' with updates, performance has reduced. Back to Mailplane for the time being.

Just having a quick gander of Droplr; Hello seems half decent, share local shit online, looks a bit better than a similar type of app I've used before Skitch although that might be a little less clunky these days, not used it for months

Allows your Mac to lock itself, plain and simple. Using your iPhone or iPod Touch, Bluetooth, and a smidgen of pixie dust, Airlock determines whether you’re near your computer. When you leave the room - poof! - your Mac locks itself. “And when I come back?” You guessed it: your Mac unlocks. You can also customize Airlock to perform specific actions as you come and go - have your computer talk to you, log-in or out of iChat, walk the dog, and such.

Clever shiz.

I want to try that out, looks awesome. But it keeps hanging up the system preference pane when trying to install. Wonder if its SN compatible.
