help, info about frontpage
I am an amateur web designer and have been building a few websites with software from homestead which is quite simple. I have tried using dreamweaver but it jsut seems very, well advanced. By not offering any graphics or design templates really, it seems a little out of my league. My main question is.. is frontpage decent web software, and is it somewhat user friendly where I can build decent sites from the software alone without importing just about everything like it seems I have to do with dreamweaver. just looking for some guidance for some good intermmediate software that will fill my needs for building competitive sites without haveing to be a master at it. Hope someone can help. Thanks |

Just learn HTML from someplace like www.w3schools.com so you can move to topstyle, dreamweaver or just notepad, and then burn, and bury frontpage. |

What Luke Redpath said - if you're not willing to learn how to do it, then you might as well not do it. That's like saying, "I want to build cars to compete with Toyota, but I don't want to have to learn how an engine works." |

Well as I figured everyone missed the point of my question, first off designing is not my job it is a side hobby that i make a couple extra dollars with and don't have time to sit and learn everything about HTML. All I asked was is frontpage alot easier and user friendly than dreamweaver, even though it may hold me back from certain advanced things, and is it more GUI oriented. Thats all........... |

If you want to make decent websites stay away from frontpage, HOwever if you are just messing around and dont really take things serious, frontpage is very easy to use....it is set in the same style as all other microsoft office software. Never used it myself, dont intend to in this life or the next but its a start if your just wanting to make the very basic of websites...that dont work Dump, England?...k m8 k |
