Hi,

I am looking for a software (preferably freeware) by which I can set reminders. A typical example would be renewal of my driver license, passport, parking permit, and any other dues.

I know that this can be done in outlook but in my case that is out of question.

Also I do understand that I can simply search on Google but then I know there will be thousands of such utilities and it would be a waste of time trying them all (btw, I already spent few hours doing that I didn't find any good one). Therefore I was wondering if anybody who has already use or know about such software will be extremely helpful.

Google calendar built into google apps/mail is great. Dump a date in that and it will email you a reminder.

I'd say the same. Plus you have the bonus of being able to access it anywhere without needing to sync.
