If you were given only these options, which would you prefer to use to create website mock-ups: Photoshop or Illustrator? Why?

ill illy. right tool for the job.

photoshop is designed for retouching pictures - it's layout tools come a poor second.

Photoshop because I know it a whole lot better and it seems easier to create pixel-perfect design with it.

Frankly, a lot of my design decisions come from tinkering with CSS.

I use Photoshop because I can (barely) use it.
