hey guys, I did a search and couldn't find any answers to my problems so sorry if this is a repeat.... I have CS3 on a macbook pro, and I have "enable color management" in Bridge ticked, and according to Bridge, my color is syncronized across all CS3 apps. BUT, the colors are not the same in Illustrator & Photoshop. EXAMPLE: If I choose #0000cc in RGB value for photoshop and also for Illustrator, my color meter (external application that tells you the colors anywhere on your computer screen) says the #0000cc is really #0000c1 in Photoshop, but #1500c9 in Illustrator. I don't care about monitor calibration in the least bit - but what do I need to do to get Illustrator & Photoshop a lot closer?? Thanks for any help... P.s. I just chose RGB for an example, CMYK colors have the same problem. |

I've had this problem... I use the same profiles and working space in Photoshop and Illustrator but I can't get the colours the same. I can even use the eyedropper to select the colour of an object pased from Photoshop to Illustrator and it'll be a few shades off. As Illustrator and InDesign are vector programs, it seems it's something to do with the way raster and vector colours are displayed. No ideas that can help you, but I'll be keeping an eye on this thread as it's a major problem! |

well, so far I've not had complaints from printers regarding my duotones - so a 2-color photo placed from Photoshop matches the Pantone text typed in InDesign apparently. But, when I imported a logo made in Ilustrator, the color did NOT match the same color placed from Photoshop. weird. |
