Is the US version of CS3 any different to the UK one?
Apart from the price of course... take the CS3 Master Collection for example: US: $2499 (equals £1,211.41) UK: £2313.58 (equals $4,772.67) If I were to buy the US version of CS3 Design Premium, to use in the UK, would I get in trouble if ever asked to verify that I am legally licensed to use the software? |

I bought the US version in Japan. It was shipped directly to me by Adobe themselves (there is also a Japanese version). Anyway, you bought it in the US in the proper way, and then suddenly as luck would have it, your job got relocated to the UK, so you took your computer with you. They could hardly get upset about that, could they? |

Wish they would just charge everyone the fucking same. Honestly can't believe the justification for charging twice as much for the same thing. |

I'd doubt there'd be a problem buying it either here or there, but I remember having seen some apps that were specifically named for where it was intended to be sold; - Adobe Photoshop CS ArabEmirate Ed. (or something, Middle East Edition, more likely, hehe.) - a detail making it blatantly obvious that they intend on separating what sells where, and could be a showstopping detail for international usage/licensing. |

That's partly due to language differences as much as licensing. But yeah, I'm sure Adobe would prefer you to buy the local edition. |
