Leopard anyone?

Anyone started running it? I have and photoshop, fireworks and illustrator all work fine so far.

It's very pretty.

the faux perspective dock a bit ugly and way over the top on effects. will probably hack it a bit to tone it down.

but i like the new dock functions.. and like the rest.

the transparent dialogues that blur the content they overlay is a pretty touch.

the most important bit.. CS3 boots nice and fast.. and doesn't fall on it's arse

My copy was something like $117. Only a slight discount for being a student but hell, some is better than none! Plus it included the fact that it was delivered to my door at 9am the day it was released.

Pity they don't give double discounts. I could get a discount for being a student AND a military spouse! *dreams*

There's a thread two places down already about Leopard, but anyway...

Probably the most impressive thing so far excepting all the well known stuff like spaces, stacks, time machine etc... is the sleep mode. It takes less than half a second to go to sleep (basically it's instant) and about 2 seconds to wake up again, even on my Mac Pro with Ps, Ai, Dw and half a dozen other apps open.

CS3 cannot use more than 2 cores simultaneously. Your 2 cores are just wanking in the meantime.

It does start to grow on you. I'm in two minds though about the little lights that have replaced the black triangles.

Doesn't bother me too much, although I'm surprised they didn't include a 'classic' option in the system preferences (at least if there is one, I couldn't find it).

I will eventually get it, but I have some problems with the interface. I made a video about it: YouTube - OS X Leopard Makes Me Puke
