FileMaker Pro

Does anyone have experience with this program? I have some old files that are in version 5.5 and when I convert them to work with V8.5, they dont seem to load fast at all. I have a file that is no bigger than 2mb but it takes forever to open. Any ideas on how to fix this?

I think you should be able to convert it to a filemaker 8.5 file somehow. They have that feature in version 7.

Although I have no idea if that will solve your problem. But you can try it at least.

There are forums out there dedicated specifically to filemaker, you should try one of them.

I've done this just recently and had no problems with speed. Did you open V8.5 first and then open the 5.5 file from within 8.5? It seemed to bring most everything over easily. If you have related files, there is a way to convert them to tables within the new 8.5 file. It's a nice package.
