Quicktime movies

I am planning to put small Quicktime movies(.mov) files on my website and i have found out that if a user doesn't have a Quicktime player installed on PC then the user has to download around 20 MB quicktime player to view it.

So now i am wondering if there is any other way around for this meaning the user should be able to view that .mov files but without downloading quicktime player. Like download just the plugin or something else ?

Btw, the quicktime files are not any streaming video files but are just virtual tours.

So what's the problem? Is it likely that your little .mov is the very first such file that your user will have confronted?
You just have to hope that downloading 20MB and installing QuickTime to see your little .mov-file is worth the effort. It would be a pity if the user is disappointed with what she sees in your .mov.
Some sites offer this sort of stuff in two or more formats. Most PC owners have MediaPlayer on their machine whether they want it or not.

steveb, that little .mov files will be virtual tours for my clients to see and if they don't have the quicktime installed then i wouldn't want them to go through all the hassle to download 20MB quicktime player.

I see. I think it's probable that almost all visitors to your site will already have QT installed. I have never heard of anything like a Lite QT, or plug-in though.

Thanks steveb. But are there any .mov converters to .swf ? Because downloading a flash viewer would be much easier than downloading QT.

Doing a quick google i found a such software called "FlashConv" but when i select input file as .mov file, it says no video stream detected.
