Adobe - Any limitations to the student editions?

Simple question really, I'm stuck on CS at the moment and don't have any software for my macbook which I'll be taking to uni and still want to be able to design and all that, I was thinking of installing bootcamp/ parallels/ fusion/ crossover to run it but thought that's pointless.

Adobe Photoshop CS3 Extended Student Edition is £140
Adobe Photoshop CS3 Extended is £205

I think the only difference is that the student edition is home use only but how is this monitored? I will only be using it for/by myself, but the end results may be used in commercial ventures, am I fine with the student edition? Ta.

to my knowledge they are full editions. but you are restricted from using them for ANY commercial purposes.

the software is monitored the same as any software, font or stock image. They keep an eye out.. If you get caught being naughty they take you to the cleaners.

I have worked at places that have been turned over by the software police. they are generally reasonable people if you prove you have a good business practise. but it is scary stuff... especially with fonts.

I was considering getting a macbook pro (but not now as i dont think i can afford it) but i got a quote for Adobe Creative Suite 3 Design Premium Academic which came to £ 208.47 + VAT
that may be because it was with a quote with a mac...

Student Edition is the full version. Its great being a student and getting all these great deals. My uni is giving away windows vista ultimate edition for free to students, not that i want it. But im pretty sure most uni's have discounts or free software to give to students.
