Opera is crap

...but I must use it for testing. So, how do you get it to behave normally? I've just installed a new version and it does stuff like this (attachment).

And I haven't messed with the author/user stylesheet options. Please send help.

clue's in the title of the thread - b'cos its crap. i started using o7 b'cos it does look really nice (the browser shell that is) but i just got fed up with things simply not working.

nobody actually uses it beyond testing anyway do they? i've never heard of a single example of anyone using it as their default browser.

Firefox builds any day. Opera 6 was pretty good, actually. 7 is just bloated.

The only advantage to using Opera (the free one with the Google Adsense ads) is that Googlebot will follow you around spidering sites you visit - so if you want to get a site spidered - Opera it!

Problem solved - just don't look

Opera Software is developing a new Internet browser that allows users to talk to their computer, the company announced Tuesday.

there's a pretty big drop off after the first one, let alone two.

i'd image the mozilla has seen a bigger rise in less time.

Read somewhere that Opera (in one form or other) is fast establishing itself as the dominant browser for handhelds and other mobile internet devices (read: the foreseeable future of t'internet?).
I'd like to right it off too, but we may be stuck with Opera's development team for longer than we anticipated.

it was the next bit of the sentence that i quoted:

Opera is the third-largest browser on the Web, although it is tiny compared to Internet Explorer and Netscape. It has been gaining ground as the browser of choice for hand-held devices, such as mobile telephones and personal data assistants, because it is known as being fast and needing little memory.
