I hope the focus in redux won't be too much on magazine software reviews. I usually find that the least interesting (can read tons of reviews on-line instead about two months before it finally appears in mags).

I'd have to disagree there, while you may read about the software online its always nice to have a proper review of the software once its released in its final form.

And what makes a lagged mag review better than a web review?

Not saying its better - but the mag review is based on the final product not betas.
Im not saying the whole mag should be full of them, but a section somewhere is always usefull to read. Magazines often go into more detail and have tutorials etc for it as well.

At the moment two pages have been dedicated to software. Freehand MX is obviously going to be of use to people who do print or work a lot with vector. We tend to make this magazine a healthy combination of all.
