Parallels implementing hardware
i have heard alot about bootcamp and parallels. here is what i've concluded, and correct me if i'm wrong, with bootcamp you run windows or mac with full hardware support (such as graphics cards) but you have to restart to run either OS. Now with parallels, does that run in software mode just the same way that virtual pc does... where it doesn't make use of your graphics card and runs slow and choppy, along with restricting what programs youcan run due to hardware issues. Or does is use your hardware? and if thats the case is parallels the same as having a intel mac and running boot camp. If that is not the case....does this mean that basically parallels would let you run bootcamp and run multiple OS's at the sametime without rebooting? i know this is long but i'd appreciate the information. |

I use Parallels and its not slow - its just as fast as a normal PC. Infact, Photoshop running on Parallels is faster than Photoshop on Mac running Rosetta. Once Adobe release the Universal version of CS suite then rosetta won't be needed and it'll fly. Check out the forum at forums.parallels.com for more info... Effervescing Elephant
