Safari seems to have issues with flash (and possibly javascript/actionscript) when loaded into a background window/tab.

It seems that flash sniffer scripts and internal actionscripts are not acted upon.
I often find that sites that contain a flash sniffer will fail if that window is not the active tab. Reloading the site with the tab active will result in the sniffer and internal actions working fine.

Similarly, I'll often find a flash site that I've loaded into a background tab won't actually start properly until I make that tab active.
This means that preloaders and other progressive actions won't continue to load as they should in background tabs.

Any other Safari users experienced this?
Anyone know of any online documentation for this issue?
