Hi,
There used to be a small program which i used to pick colors by putting my mouse over any surface on the desktop, Can anyone remember that software, i think it used to be called somthing like , Pixela, Pixi ... pix is what reminds me of that program,

Not sure, but there's ColorZilla that's an extension for Firefox - it does the same thing for web pages.

on mac there is the DigitalColor Meter utility
