IE 7 released (beta)

http://www.microsoft.com/windows/IE/ie7/default.mspx

Sounds like there is much they still have left to do. The foundation is much more user based - not developer based.

Guy here has it installed .. had a look and it's pretty shit.

The tab interface feels unfinished and the CSS support is still pretty iffy. God knows how we're supposed to hack for IE6 and IE7 at the same time, it better not be using fucking shitty conditional comments. Has PNG alpha support as far as I can tell, and some silly 'anti-phising' thing that basically reports the URL of every website you visit back to Microsoft. Aye right.

Roll on the fox 1.5

Not a big surprise I might say. Well, at least it has png support.

Sounds phishy

PNG support is a good thing - but we'll still be coding for IE5 for years to come though.

Seems like every thing they have done is just trying to catch up with FF, nothing innovative.

They have got integrated RSS though... (ff 1.05 got that?)

http://www.simplebits.com/

go to that page, look in the bottom-right hand corner for a little orange icon (means an xml feed is available for the page) appearing and click on it

Limbo, you need to add a "live bookmark" by (unless someone knows a quicker way) - Bookmarks/Manage Bookmarks/File/New Livemark - stick your RSS feed in there.

IE7 - it gets a PROPER beating here- http://blogs.msdn.com/ie/archive/2005/07/27/444004.aspx

I've never noticed that before. even when you put the picture up. it doesn't show up on all sites I've noticed, the bbc site included.
